Dig Ventures Raises $100M to Back AI, Cloud, and SaaS Startups

Dig Ventures, a London-based early-stage venture capital firm, has announced the close of a $100 million fund to invest in the next generation of AI, cloud, and SaaS startups across Europe.

Founded in 2018 by Ross Mason, the creator of MuleSoft (sold to Salesforce for $6.5B), Dig Ventures has evolved from a family office into a full-fledged VC firm. Its portfolio already includes high-growth startups like ComplyAdvantage and People.ai.

“We’re not just providing capital, but offering the lived experience,” said Mason. “Our team brings the Silicon Valley mindset, operational insight, and network needed to go from zero to one.”

The Dig Team

The firm’s team includes:

  • Melissa Klinger, former sales lead at MuleSoft
  • Rytis Vitkauskas, ex-partner at Lightspeed
  • Scott Grimes, founder of pop culture platform Uproxx

Backed by Institutional Investors

The fund is supported by institutional LPs including:

  • The Hillman Company
  • Granite Capital
  • Sofina
  • Grove Street

Investment Focus

While primarily focused on European startups, Dig Ventures will also consider startups from Israel and the U.S. The firm has already begun deploying capital from this fund across ~15 companies in the SaaS, AI, and cloud sectors.
